Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Block Apps, LLC ("CallerIQ," "we," "us") for your use of the CallerIQ app, website, and services. By creating an account or using CallerIQ, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
1. What CallerIQ does
CallerIQ is a personal AI call screener. You forward the calls you don't answer to your CallerIQ number, and CallerIQ greets people you know, interviews unknown callers, turns away spam and likely scams, and sends you a summary of each call. CallerIQ also offers a free scam checker that assesses suspicious texts, numbers, or messages you submit. Features may change, improve, or be discontinued over time.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old to use CallerIQ. You're responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your account credentials secure, and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.
3. Call forwarding, carriers, and consent
- Setup and charges. CallerIQ works by setting up conditional call forwarding with your mobile carrier or line provider. Your carrier's rates, plan terms, and any forwarding or data charges are between you and your carrier and are your responsibility.
- Recording and transcription consent. CallerIQ processes call audio and creates transcripts and summaries. Laws about recording and notifying callers vary by jurisdiction. You are responsible for using CallerIQ in compliance with the laws that apply to you and the people who call you.
- Not an emergency service. CallerIQ is not a substitute for a phone line and must not be relied on for emergency, medical, or time-critical communications, or for reaching or being reached by emergency services.
4. The scam checker
The scam checker gives an automated, informational assessment based on known patterns. It is not legal, financial, or security advice, and it can be wrong. It may miss real scams or flag legitimate messages. Use your own judgment, and when money, credentials, or account access are involved, verify through an independent, trusted channel. Don't submit other people's personal information without a lawful basis.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use CallerIQ for anything illegal, or to harass, defraud, or harm others.
- Use CallerIQ to record or screen calls in a way that breaks applicable law.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
- Resell or provide the service to third parties except as expressly allowed.
- Upload content you don't have the right to submit, or that infringes others' rights.
6. Plans, billing, and cancellation
Some features are free (including the scam checker); others may require a paid subscription. If you subscribe, you authorize us or our payment processor to charge the plan fee on a recurring basis until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law. If we change pricing, we'll give you notice before it applies to you.
7. Third-party services
CallerIQ relies on third parties, including OpenAI for AI processing, Sinch and carriers for telephony, and Google Cloud for infrastructure, and their availability affects the service. We're not responsible for third-party services outside our control, and your use of the app store, carrier, or device is also subject to their terms.
8. Intellectual property
CallerIQ, its software, and its brand are owned by us and our licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service. You keep ownership of the content you submit, and grant us the rights needed to process it to provide the service (for example, transcribing and summarizing your calls).
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that CallerIQ will catch every scam, block every spam call, correctly identify every caller, connect every legitimate call, or operate without interruption or error. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CallerIQ and its owners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service, including any call that was screened, missed, delayed, or misclassified. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty U.S. dollars. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Termination
You can stop using CallerIQ and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or to protect the service or other users. On termination, your license ends; sections that by their nature should survive (such as disclaimers and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of CallerIQ after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
