Getting startedWhat is CallerIQ?+
CallerIQ is a personal AI call screener. Forward the calls you don't pick up and CallerIQ answers for you. Greeting people you know by name, interviewing unknown callers, turning away spam and scams, and sending you a short summary of every call.
How do I set it up?+
Create an account, choose how CallerIQ greets callers and which voice it uses, then pick a number: keep the one people already know and forward missed calls, or get a new dedicated CallerIQ number. CallerIQ shows you the exact forwarding code to dial for your carrier. Setup takes a few minutes.
Do I need a new phone number?+
No. You keep your current number. CallerIQ sets up conditional call forwarding so the calls you miss route to your CallerIQ number to be screened, no porting, no new SIM, and nothing running in the background.
Which carriers does it work with?+
AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and most other mobile carriers through standard call forwarding. Landlines and VoIP lines can forward from their provider's portal.
How do I turn forwarding on?+
After you pick your carrier, CallerIQ gives you one dial code, for example
**61*<number># on AT&T or T-Mobile, or *71<number> on Verizon. Tap it once to forward calls you don't answer. You can also choose to forward every call instead of just the missed ones. How do I turn it off?+
Dial
##61# on most carriers, or *73 on Verizon. CallerIQ also shows the off-code on the forwarding screen. Turning CallerIQ off is one dial code, any time.It says "Setting registration failed"+
Some prepaid and MVNO plans (like Mint or Oxio) block dial-code forwarding. Instead, open your phone's Settings → Phone → Call Forwarding and forward to your CallerIQ number there. You can also tap "Call to test your AI" to try it right away.
What happens to calls from people I know?+
People in your synced contacts ring straight through to you, no screening, no delay. Only unknown callers get interviewed. You can turn screening on or off in Settings.
How do I sync my contacts?+
In the CallerIQ iOS app, allow contacts access during onboarding or use "Sync contacts now" in Settings → Call screening. Your contacts are stored privately in your account, never shared or messaged, and deleted with your account.
Can I block a number or always allow one?+
Yes. On any call in your Calls list, tap Block to hang up on that number automatically in future, or Allow next time to let it ring straight through like a contact.
How do I see who called?+
Every screened call arrives as a clean card in your Calls list: who called, what they wanted, and a callback number, plus the full transcript if you want it. No dialing into voicemail.
Can CallerIQ put an urgent caller through to me live?+
Yes, if you turn on live transfer and give CallerIQ a number to reach you at. For genuinely urgent callers, CallerIQ can connect them to you instead of only taking a message.
Is the scam checker really free?+
Yes, no account, no trial clock. Paste a suspicious text, a phone number, or a screenshot and get a straight answer. Try it at the scam checker.
How accurate is it?+
It gives an automated assessment based on known scam patterns, and it can be wrong. It may miss real scams or flag safe messages. Use your judgment, and when money, passwords, or account access are involved, verify through an independent, trusted channel.
How do I cancel my subscription?+
Manage or cancel a paid plan in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; the free scam checker keeps working.
How do I delete my account and data?+
Open Settings → Delete account in the app. This permanently deletes your profile, call history, voicemails, and contacts. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Can I set CallerIQ up for a parent?+
Yes. That's one of the best uses of CallerIQ. Set it up on their phone in a few minutes. Their real contacts still ring through like always; the "grandchild in trouble" call meets CallerIQ instead.
Screened calls aren't reaching CallerIQ+
Re-dial the forwarding code from the setup screen to make sure it's active. If your carrier returned "Setting registration failed," use Settings → Phone → Call Forwarding instead. Then call your own number from another phone to confirm CallerIQ picks up.
